Photography courses

I’m considering taking a course in photography this year but having trouble deciding which one would be best for me. I don’t think I’m a novice any more but there are still lots of things I think I'd like to be more confident about and would like to know more on the technical side of photography. I'd like to become familiar with different techniques and genres too. I’d also like to know more about the history of the art and it’s pioneers. Any suggestions??
Anyone whose familiar with my journey and my work got any ideas on what level I should aim at?
Am I asking too much??

Maureen i havent got a clue, however you are definately NOT a beginner anymore. I was thinking of joining a local club, there is one in Tipton but didnt look very varied, this one looks ok though with a lot of members by the looks.

it says smethwick but its nearer Birmingham new road really, towards Oldbury.

Thanks for the link Dennis it looks interesting I'm seriously considering going along and having a look. Might go tomorrow evening. They run courses and they might be more beneficial. Another avenue to explore. Cheers my fellow Black Countryman/person

I cant do tomorrow, however if you go PM me and let me know what you think, the website is professional, it seems professionally run as well. Its not expensive £28pa, if you could fraternise with a dodgy tinternet type we might even both do a course!

Anything to help you know that, we' ve been here almost the same time me and you. but i would like to kick on and learn more than i do.

These guys look like they have the right qualifications as well from what i can see.

It does all look very professionally set up you're right. Just remembered might not be able to go tomorrow my son gets his GCSE results but will definitely go next week. If you can make it next week let me know at least we'll know one person each when we arrive

Mine just got ABB in maths at a level , IT and business studies hes 18. eldest 22, youngest 17 but you are right she is too young if that avatar is the real little Mau!

Should be Ok next week, pm you later we can check out together, hubby can come as i know he gets worried!! or i will give you my mobie number and he can talk to me!

LOL Thank you both very much. I'm extremely lucky not to look my age but you'll be able to judge whether my avatars telling the truth next week Dennis. The photograph was taken last year in Great Yarmouth

My t'other half wont come he's a musician and practises on Thursday evening but I definitely want to check it out. Perhaps we can arrange it so we both arrive at the same time.
