Navajo Hogan

I spent some time at Monument Valley as a guest of a Navajo on his Ranch.
This is the traditional house.

By sheer luck, I once had a change to see Monument Valley, because someone needed help in driving their van. I've done very little travelling so for me, it was a trip of a lifetime. Is this home for viewing or is it actually occupied? I imagine that it would be quite cool in the summer.

this Hogan actually is used by older folks who still cling to the Navajo tradition
There also is what I call the white mans Hogan, made with modern materials, complete with big screen TV and satellite link

For now, I'm off to Montserrat, got to do some diving over there with my daughter Diana.
