Photographers Comments
Th early morning light, shuttered shop, single car and pedestrian suggest the quietness; and the human city.

Hi Antony, I like the lines in this one, and the way that it draws you into the image. Although it could do with a bit of distorting as the buildings seem to be falling away from the middle of the image, I would have probably used the distort tool in photoshop to sort this out.

I too like this although i would conv to BW and darken the corners, enhance the light filtering through the buildings. the shutters on the RHS look great. nice work

I think a BW conversion would work great with this image too. Also just a tadge of distortion reseting on the buildings. Great image and thought with the leading lines etc

Also think this would look in B&W,the only thing i would have done was wait for the person to be between the two posts not behind one (easy to say now...) but something to keep in mind for next time...

You are really much too generous - I was about to delete this as too boring: but sincerely delighted you have caught what first drew me to the shot. Great advice - I will try B&W and un-distorting (tho' my experience using this tool is not very encouraging - too much crop results, or a different sort of distortion..) Might clone the person forward and stretch her for perspective.
