Wow, this brings all those Cowboy Movies into perspective!!!
I find this series of yours really interesting and I'm amazed at how well this piece of American Folklore has been preserved.

Diane and Brian,
The town of Tombstone is kind of funky with wooden sidewalks, dusty streets and black hatted cowboys lurking around, and suddenly, screeeeem, guns are blazing and "dead" bodies on the ground.
This shootout must be the most talked about, researched and filmed event in the wild west folklore. There may be a lot of truth and a lot of spun yarn.
The buildings and some of the bars are still originals, complete with bullet holes in the walls and ceilings. Must have been a wild time in Tombstone and Boot Hill.
