Saltburn Victorian pier has a grand history and is stunning on a sunny day.

Nice subject. Tiring to fit the pier into its surroundings but keeping the arcade and surf shops etc out isn’t easy.
It is nice to have the end of the pier with some free space sometimes it looks squashed into the frame.
It really sums up a hot day on the beach, mine is a 99 cone please.
Im not sure if it’s my screen resolution but it looks a little over sharpened.
(I haven’t been a member long so it could well be me),

Hi missed this one, and its nice to see a new member posting agree with al your comments including the sharpening. Nice seaside scene makes you want an ice cream for sure.

it might be...as my eyes ain't what they used to be; so I do 'sharpen' most of my pictures.

It is a nice walk along the beach to Redcar, you can get some great photos of the pier if you look behind you as you go.
When the suns setting it lights up the cliffs and pier really nicely.
I have loaded a couple of my photos and they don’t look as good as the originals so I think the compression for the web effects with the quality.
