Default Under the Boardwalk

Photographers Comments
Taken at Saltburn Cleveland/Nth Yorkshire on Wednesday.
The lighting was difficult to adjust for; but I thought it was an interesting image.

Yes, it's a thoughtful and interesting viewpoint. I suspect Dennyboy would have a go at cloning out the white object that distracts to the bottom right. I would remove it with a crop! A crop, just above the second bit of rubbish nearby, might make the scene more dramatic as I think the return to lightness in the foreground detracts, too. I'm always happy to lose the 'standard' 4x3 proportions.

'Genuinely' I left that in this version.....I thought it was 'interesting'; but I can understand why someone would find it distracting.

send in the clones, there ought to be clones, yep would ditch the rubbish stops your eyes from looking through the image. I wouldnt have cloned it i would have picked it up and moved it though. Metering dark-light needs a compromise i would have tried spot metering on the sand outside the dark bit, locking it and experimenting that said you did a good job.

Very good sharp clear silhouette, which has been exposed well for the background, agree with Reg about losing a bit of the light foreground as my eye keeps returning to it.
