Actually, I always thought that film was over-rated. What do you think?

Mind you, the Olympus OM-1 (featured here) was, and still is, a very sexy camera.

I dont know about film being overated, it's certainly different, a well exposed shot on Fujivelvia or kodachrome 25 projected to 5 foot across could be breathtaking, and the quality of medium format was second to none, early digital cameras were extremely expensive and left a lot to be desired, but I think film really now belongs in the last centuary, modern digital SLR's give superb qualty images, the proccessing on computers would have been unbelievable not too many years ago, HDR and other manipulations can make a fantastic image that would have only been fit to be binned taken on film, and digital has created a lot more pictures being taken, most youngsters out clubbing on a saturday night carry a camera (mobile phone) I think film was pretty good, but things usually improve, and digital was a forward step along the way, I dont supose I'll be around to see what comes after digital but something will, eventually there will be another step.
