my second HDR attempt
Photographers Comments
After adjusting the settings I could not resist changing the sky. The original was all washed out and didnt look too good. This seems a little over the top but I thought it suited after the adjustments.
One TIFF image was used and reproduced five times, all with different exposure settings. This was done using CS2 then exported into Photomatix Pro3 for conversion then back into CS2 for a new sky and fine tuning. Please feel free to rip it apart if you see fit as that,s the best way I learn.
Serious Critique Required: The photographer has requested he/she would like a more serious level of critique for this image to obtain more constructive critiscism from other members. Please make sure the comments you leave are indeed constructive and aim to help the photographer see the image from a different perspective and/or provide help and guidance to how the image can be improved.

XP fair play for having a go, dont hate me but........the HDR looks overdone see GP8R (Paul) rose for HDR done spot on. Tree dont look right (left of image) Sky dont fit the image brightness and the stump at the front of image is distracting. Had 5 tins of Stella to pluck up courage to tell you by the way. If i had the tiff file i wouldnt mind a go myself to see what i could come up with. PM me and i will give you my e-mail. Not saying i am better but it looks over cooked. Sorry,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Thanks for the comments Dennyboy. The sky and the trees are my own creations which I thought were OK. I now know when a pic is over cooked so I can work on it a bit more. If you feel the need to drink stella in bulk on a regular basis then for a small regular retainer I could produce work like this for you every few minutes.
Seriously though, thanks for the comments. I will take you up and e-mail the file.
Cheers

Full credit Xp1 for experimenting and having ago! i have tried numerous HDR attempts but all have been binned so i understand how hard this technique can be.
I have to agree with Dennys remarks, and his version shows us how it should be done (amazing my friend!).
Just keep at it and look forward to seeing more of your attempts.

Hi xp. Just keep plugging away mate. I've never used Photomatix, all my HDR work is done in PSP X2, but I do like the toning effects you can get with Photomatix. I'll have to try it. Like everything, it's just a matter of practice. Keep up the good work!
