Thanks Dennyboy. My method is my madness...

1. Three B&Q screws up-ended on top of a black reflective surface. I used my induction hob.
2. Spend ages cleaning hob top to get dust away.
3. Black card behind.
4. Shot with macro lens.
5. Import to CS3, increase black, boost colour a bit.
6. Import to Photoslop
7. Velvia filter to boost colours. Except the black of course.
8. Apply Redfield 'Ripples Magic' filter plugin (£10!).
9. Crop, sharpen, smile.

It took me a LONG time to do all of this. Thoroughly recommend this plugin - brill. Best to get all black or white around the subject. You could spend a long time messing with this, but I'm sure that with patience you can come up with some stunners. Can you do better?....

Hi Roberto....
Did you do this before or after the rugby this afternoon??? Because I would have lost a few screws after that myself if I was you LOL

Seriously...(because I can be) I think it's a very fine image, isn't it great to play around with filters? The composition is great too!

Very kind of you, but I can assure you that if you saw the inside of my head you wouldn't be here looking at a shot from the inside of my head...

Nice Art Work that You have created here! The Screws have Character appeal,
they remind Me of caricatures from the early Punch Magazines.
I like the Title too ... suits the scene.

Many thanks O' Antipodean Arbiter of Good Taste. I think image titles are so important, they can make a good shot even more effective. They also make your image stand out in a forum queue!
