Steve

I like this one, a good urban shot with good colours and style. I felt in needed a bit more PAZAZZ!, so I did an edit. Boosted colours, contrast, and sharpened a little more. Hope that's OK.

No probs at all mate,i tried one similar and a posterised one, attempted a pop art one and believe it or not a B&W one (just too see what it looked like) but i kept coming back to the original, which after all is someone elses work and i felt a bit wrong altering it so i decided to leave it as they intended...

I thought you had confessed to being a graffiti artist when i read the intro! This is a good image but Mr Redfords version really pops!

Nice shot Steve,
think it would look better with the gravel at the bottom removed.
Does look better with more colour like Robert Redfords.
All the best
Paul.

I wonder if that inspiration was to do with graffiti on the Art Heritage Gallery exterior Walls. The great Graffiti Artist such as Banksie are doing their stuff there, allowed for 3 months before being removed.
However, this Graffiti shown is far from Art, it is more Rebellious than Cultural. Just a view of course.
ta ta for now!

Nicely captured bit of graffiti. There are some pieces that I think stand out as good pieces of art but not this one

Cheers Peops,
personally i think that anyone who takes time to create something (even erroneously) from within is creating ART in their own little way...

further ... yes, I can go on ...
It ceases to be Art when it infringes on Private Property.
Recently in New Zealand, a Tagger defaced a Garage Door and was seen by the owner of the Property.
The enraged Owner grabbed a Knife and confronted the Tagger, resulting in the Death of a 15 Year old Youth.
The Youth knew nothing of Art, and was just hell bent on leaving His Initials all over the City, like many
others that style themselves on the Los Angeles Street Gangs.
Police and one City Council are now forcing Taggers who are caught, to wear a Pink Vest with TAGGER written on it.
However Civil Libertarians point out how similar this is to the Nazi's who made the Jews wear colour Tags, and why Pink?
Today in the NZ News Paper, there are reports of a Cultural Heritage Art Museum that has been attacked by Taggers,
not messages of Art, but of defiance.
Opinion only of course, ... oh, I almost forgot, I have had the Graffiti Artist do their so called Art on My Car too,
costing Me a small fortune to remove ... this Art I call vandalism . *salute* ta ta for now *save the whale*

hmmmm what was steve-o really doing down here me wonders..?

nice work, good editorial image. I do agree in needs a boost in contrast and saturation..
The good thing about people having the guts to edit another members image is that sometimes it allows us to see beyond ourselves. This isnt aimed at Lee Evans or Mr Redford but just a general observation. i quite like the fact that some people take the time to edit my shots if they feel it can be improved..although TCO, menace and a few others took my lovable portrait waaaaaay too far
