This is seriously good work as far as I am concerned. Great idea well presented.
I would try a layer mask gradient on the reflection to make the skylight fade. You could always distort the reflection a little as well.

Thanks for the comment. My original intention was to blend in a real background sky, but couldn't do that very effectively. Do you mean distort the bottom half of the shot which is supposed to be a river? Yes, I will try that. I need to reshoot it I think.

I was thinking more in terms of fade. If you follow my link to my flickr page have a look at the screen saver 3 which I actually use. That's the sort of thing I meant.

There are positive and negative things in this image but nothing terminal and i think it passed the acid test! If you get too obsessed you will have to join the AAA however you have to be "ever ready" for this.
