Hi Barry as i know nothing at all about IR except what you have done in your tutorials, it is difficult for me to Crit. However what i see is a great action capture, too often it is a very close zoomed in shot and this one looks better for showing the slope and the terrain he is negotiating. Colour or IR this is a great image. Wish i had taken it and i would have been chuffed to bits is all i can say.

Loved every one of your IR images so far mate, top man!

Hi Dennis and Bryan, cheers for your comments, I just thought that I would try something different from my normal landscape type shots.

Hi Barry,
another amazing shot, I actually prefer this to your landscape shots.
You have captured the action really well.
Great work.
All the best
Paul

Thanks for your comments, on this image, it is the first time that I have tried sports type photography in Infrared, It took me a while to find a suitable location with a darker background behind the rider, otherwise he would just be lost within the foliage of the trees.

My view is very different. My first thought was that the white foliage is kinda overpowering the rider..but I find that disapates when the sky portion is cropped off. I totally love what is happening in the forground and I also find that by cropping off the sky, everything becomes more balanced. I understand why you included the sky but for me, it becomes a stronger image with it gone.

Hi Fay, thanks for your comment, until you mentioned it I had not even thought about cropping down. This image is in my file awaiting for a couple more before printing, so once printed as a whole image I may well play about with cutting different size mounts.

Hi TCO, thanks for your comments, this print should be here in the morning from Photobox, so I will play around with mounts, then if it works better cut down as suggested I will get it reprinted cropped and resized.
