Hi Suvendra, this is better, you are getting the whites in the foilage. But there is no exif info so I can't see what settings you used to advise you here. But for first try they are good - you should see some of my first attempts. I will look forward to seeing more from you soon.

Thanks for your valuable input once again Barry. The exif for this shot is:
ISO: 200
Exposure: 1 sec
f-stop: f/9
Aperture Priority mode.
No flash.
Canon Rebel XT

Hi Suvendra, with infrared photography you will find that you need to overexpose slightly, from the settings above you would do better using a longer shutter speed - something like 4 seconds. Plus bring your ISO down to 100 otherwise you will get a lot of noise in the darker areas of your image. Did you pre-set your whiebalance or did you use auto, also what filter are you using.

Hi Suvendra, too bad that you didn't get the sun to co-operate with you .. these photos interest me. Would love to see this when the sun co-operates with you .. looks really interesting. Thanks for sharing ..
Cheers
Else

bw: I searched on the intranet. Nikon D50 seems to be much better at passing infrareds than other cameras. Canon seems to need longer exposure. Since you use your Nikon, you have a much better chance of getting into IR with lower exposures
Barry: Thanks for your response. The white balance was set to auto.
Else: nice to see you. IR has kind of interested me for sometime now - and after seeing Barry posting the nice IR's, thought I will try some myself. The only problem is I need to buy a new tripod to get more shots - my current Manfrotto is probably 7 pounds and feels like 100 pounds when you hike

So your image would have had a red tint to it then, if you can manually set the white balance then you need to point the camera at grass or green foliage to set the white balance as this is a neutral color in Infrared.
