I think I'll buy a sigma lens next time so I can join the appreciation society.

My new Tamron 70-300mm worked well this week end: SO THERE!!!!

Nice lense! got one half price when i bought my first Dslr, sold it when i got the sigma 80mm-400mm,but sometimes wish i'd kept it as it's a nice size and weight for the zoom you get....

My problem is I'm just learning so have to stay with motorised lenes for my D40 to stay fully auto focused

Will go to manual lenes later as i learn the trade and expand the kit

We're all learning Len !!!! i only ever use manual when shooting macro if the lense wont focus on the bit i want, have got 51 focus points on the camera so i could set one of those but i just can't get the hang of it so it's easier to do it with the manual focus....

Ah, here's another Sigma. I have the 50mm but haven't used it much yet - only got it a couple of weeks ago. Hope it's as good as all of the positive reviews I've seen!
