Sounds like a resounding victory for Sigma then! So I shall now start hinting furiously to my family for a 10-20mm whilst at the same time continue to save some pennies as I know I'll have to buy it myself
Cheers to all who replied, you've been a great help!

A lot wider than what? 10-20 and 10-22 have the same angle of view at the wide end...10mm. The only difference is at the not so wide end, the 20/22mm end, which makes it narrower...or am I missing something?
