Do you not like Nikon? I thought they were pretty highly regarded? They are among the big names ie canon/olympus/nikon.. Im VERY tempted to go for that deal as I was intent on buying a D40 and love the feel of them I even went to buy one but was put off by the lack of cleaning and auto motor. If this is the same only with them included I think it may be a no brainer! Thanks a lot for your help, roll on payday I say!

Dennis is just trying to get in with the Canon crowd lol, don't worry about it.
The D60 doesn't have the motor, so doesn't autofocus with some older lenses and some off brand lenses, although the focus indicator light still works for manual focus.

Just tried to find a decent camera within his budget! I dont follow the Nikon or Canon crowd i am my own man which is why i have a 14.2mp Sony with full live view, anti shake (in camera so works on any lens). self cleaning sensor, in built teleconvertor e.t.c. mind you did cost more than a Nikon lol

I think its a good buy and i have used the website and they are known and reliable. The VR is built into the lens for that money

It looks a good site mate, D3 deal with 14-24mm is tempting, body only is cheapest I've seen on a non dodgy site. NO THINK OF THE MORTGAGE!!!

Dave, if I was in your shoes Amazon would have just made a sale.
D40 18-55 kit £276.06 free delivery, think I only paid £40 less for my Sony P&S!
Add the 55-200VR for a total under £420 or wait and get the other lens another time.
Amazon.co.uk: Nikon D40 Digital SLR Camera - Black (18-55mm Lens Kit): Nikon: Electronics & Photo

I think Im going to go for the purelygadgets deal on the Nikon D60. Everything I've read up on about it has been very positive the only drawback I can see is the lack of the autofocus motor, how much will this affect me in the real world? How much more expensive are the lenses with the motors in? Thanks fellas
