Made up my mind...

..and got the Canon 400d yesterday and am very happy with my choice. Thanks again for all the great advice you all gave

I may have a look at a D3 towards the end of the year when supply has caught up with demand and prices may drop.

I was so tempted to say "should have bought the Nikon!" and added a "lol" but I resisted the urge...
Option 1 all the way.

Barry, I wouldn't expect much of a price drop this year, the only way I see a sensibly priced FX DSLR in the near future is *ahem* 5D *cough* who said that? lol.
Of course I hope I'm totally wrong, positive thinking eh.
