Sorry mate, I quoted it from memory, for some reason I thought the D300 was 14.1MP, the point still stands though.

i actually preferred the extra width i got moving from a d300 to d700 making my 14-24mm wiiiiiide

The length never bothered me as i dont actually shoot birds, but the iso capabilities are outstanding which i find im using a lot, so for me it was a great upgrade, i did have full frame glass to go on it before hand though

Did you konw that if the frsit and last letrtes in a word are kpet in the same oredr, the rset can be meixd up, yet you wlil stlil be able to raed it pferclety

Most of my glass is full frame suitable except my Sigma 10-20 and my Nikon 18-200VR. So this is not so much of a problem if I decide to go that way.
