Yeh Rob that sort of thing???

Am toying with the idea of going to B&Q in the morning and geting some 2"x 2" some 1/2" Ply sheet of white perspex/Striplights and some reflective paint.

I could get all the stuff cut to size so would only take me an hour to knock up....but the only thing putting me off is getting the light completely even across the whole of the perspex???

Even if i fill the whole of the box with strips it may not still be completely white...Hmmmmm????

My wife is NEBOSH qualified, and as I write she is literally sitting in the study swatting for a different H&S exam on Tuesday in Cardiff. But to answer your question - what do you think!

Steve, I think that viewing aid is usually called a light table, might explain why you've struggled to find one.
I found this pretty quickly

Lastolite Limited

It may give you a starting point.

I got mine from e-bay, big enough for a couple of 6x7 tranies or negs, cost me £3.50 about a year ago, set up a saved search on ebay and check it once a week or so, light boxes turn up quite often so it shouldn't take long for what you want to turn up.

Or you could get a pece of opaque perspec and some balanced tubes and make your own.

Rob.
