Twint towers of Rochdale
Photographers Comments
There are two of these losers. One on each side of the road as you enter Rochdale from the M62. Cost a fortune in ratepayers money and they have the cheek to spend more money on them every evening by lighting them up from the inside. Pure waste of ratepayers money if you ask me. Gave this one a little treatment to help show it off better. Wish the council would pay me for my rubbish.

Hi Mate, centre bit which is very white is distracting, cant see if this was flash as no exif, and would have left a bit of room to breathe at the top, extended it a bit so you can see and made a rough attempt to burn the highlighted bit. Waste of taxpayers money YES, decent image Yes i think so mate.

See what you mean mate. Thanks for the comments. There was a little white in the centre but not with flash. I just boosted the whole thing in PS plus used a white gradient.
Cheers Dennyboy.

Thanks for the comments guys. I will have to remember the spacing at the top of images. Another lesson learnt.
I don't think anyone really knows what they are for Len. They stand one on each side of the main road into Rochdale. I think the council thought that people would only enter Rochdale from one direction and on one road only.
They are supposed to act as a gateway to the town centre I suppose, though in actual fact they are giving visitors the message that the council likes to waste it's ratepayers money.
I will put your question to someone on the council Len and get back to you with their answer.
Watch this space.
Cheers

Sound of not holding breath if anything like our Council, £54m on an art gallery for modern art and we have no art to put in it cause it went bankrupt, yet they closed all leisure centres and swimming facilities. You couldnt make it up.....
