Very good Baz,
clean crisp and very strong lines and a nice point of view.
It leans a bit left though and what looks like a pile of stones halfway up on the right might benefit from a cloning?
It's up there with the blokie looking up in the cave as one of my fav shots of yours....
PS: have been having a go at IR but with crap results!!! will PM you.

Hi Steve, I know what you mean by the leaning, this is because I had to use a wide angle lens to get all of the shot in, then had to distort it in PS to get it back right again and every time you move it one way something else does not look right. I agree with you about the 'pile of stones' which is in fact a pile of snow, I will clone that out.

G'day Cobber,
Looking so pristine and opulent ... no doubt the Pavements are heated.
Aaaaah ... I am in no position to crit ... My Town has not even a traffic light ... and the highest structure is my Compost heap.
Looks pretty darn good to Me!

This is an excellent cityscape shot... very well composed and having a nice dynamic of verticals, that fit well with the receding lines, which then create depth within the image.
The contrast of the blue & the red brick is also pleasing for the eye, I like the saturation level.
All this, adding to the right exposure and true colours, amounts to a fine image! Full of good detail, interest factors and hugely appealing. Well done!

Hi Barry. Great shot. Has strong lines that lead your eyes in. The lighting and shadows work well. If you open it back up in ps and click on view grid you will find that it is not leaning left. The lines are straight. Just an is an optical illusion with all the angles. Also great depth of field. Art

Thanks for all your comments, I do have other images from Minneapolis which will get posted at some point. I will now remove the pile of snow on right hand side and get it printed big.

Been meaning to comment on this since you first posted it.
The diagonals work really well, especially in the sky and carried on by the flags. I thought about removing the guy to the left but after a bit of thinking on it, I think he's best left in as it gives scale.
The only niggle left is the snow, which I agree should be removed but it's a fantastic image with great colour and composition.
