Photographers Comments
I am trying to photograph a series of bridges along the river Dee Flintshire. I felt that the style, age and contrasting elements within this image deserved the b/w treatment. I like the shot, it has a powerful structure, but I think it might have looked better with the nearest span going right into the TR corner. That would have given the image more height, which would have put the strong line created by the railings lower down at the third line. It doesn't need much. I had a look at the histogram, and it looks a little flat-line across the image - perhaps a touch more contrast? I like the overall structure, it ticks all the right boxes. It does look dated as you desired.
