Default Abstract architecture

Would appreciate some feedback on this, I suppose it is architecture but I like it as an abstract.

That is a really good shot but can't for the life of me work out what it is?

I've spent ages now looking at it and I haven't a clue what it is either although there is a possibility that the foreground bit is stairs or an escalator but I could be miles off.

Anyway it is a very nice shot and mystery behind what it is makes it much more enjoyable to look at

Lol, by it's very nature an abstract does not lend itself to easy identification and should be more about shapes and patterns.

But then again, to put you all out of your misery, it is part of the Selfridges building in Birmingham's Bull Ring.

Amazing texture and a very intreaging image. A great shot! Just to give me an idea of scale, how big would each, not sure what to call them, pin heads be in size?

It is definitely abstract! I would not have thought it to be part of a building, it looks like something flexible or even soft.
Well done,
Phil.

It is a massive structure, a 250,000 square foot department store covered by 15,000 of these aluminium discs with no straight edges anywhere. I would say that each one is probably about a metre or so across.

It's a very deceiving perspective - Those 'discs' certainly dont look over a metre across - I find the technique of using the lack of something to give scale as an accessory to perspective distortion fascinating, but terribly hard to get right!
