Photographers Comments
The interesting thing about this image is that I got locked in the church when taking it!

Hi Mu! Where's that church? I like the effect; what is it - is it a filter of some sort? The pews and kneelers give it extra 'omph' without detracting from the window - I like it very much!

Thanks O glad you like it, the church is at Pencelli - over the canal bridge and 3/4 mile or so up towards the hill - a great place to get locked in! No filter used although shot as a jpeg I used bridge to open the image in the RAW converter adjusted the highlights, clarity and recovery, then opened in Photoshop and brought up the darker areas in levels.

Hi Muriel, another great church shot, you have controlled the light and dark areas very well, casting just enough light onto the pews and kneelers.

Thanks Else and Barry glad you like the image. I wasn't in there for long Else; most of these churches have a makeshift gate of wire or mesh covering the outer porch to stop birds nesting in there. This one was made of chicken wire and chained to the wall, I managed to bend it out of shape just enough to push something through and lift the chain off. It was all a bit weird as far as I could see there was only one man there other than me and he had seen me go in.
