Default Online Printing

Not sure if i am re-inventing the wheel here and apologies if its already been posted but is it worth sharing your best, cheapest vs quality online printing experiences?

I have used Pixmania-excellent delivery however prices have risen a bit of late

Bonusprint-5p prints ordered tonight so will update about delivery

Truprint-good service, very fast but not as cheap as Bonusprint

be good to see what is out there in terms of price etc, too many people just go to Boots or Jessops and pay through the nose i think.

Source Which
Bonusprint 1-2 days Which Rating Best Buy at 86%
Tele 0800 316 0301

Bonusprint was the only processor tested to produce excellent prints from pictures taken in bright and dim conditions, with and without a flash . The software that enables you to upload your pictures is simple and intuitive .*
Our photos took an average of 36 minutes to upload , which was the second-slowest time on test – although this a small price to pay for excellent quality prints.
Worth knowing: One of the more unusual photo gifts we’ve seen - for just under £40 you can get a 9-carat gold, heart-shaped pendant personalised with the engraved image of a loved one .
Pros: Excellent print quality, easy to use, very reasonably priced
Cons: Average quality enlargements

Kodak Gallary 2 - 3 Days Which Rating best Buy at 80%
Kodak EasyShare Gallery: Kodak's online photo service - high-quality digital printing and more
The quality of prints from Kodak EasyShare Gallery was impressive, although they did take a day longer to arrive than those from our other Best Buy processor and are a little more expensive.*
If you’re planning to get your pictures enlarged, this is certainly the processor to plump for – the quality of prints was consistently better than all of the other services we tested.
Worth Knowing: You can send photos taken on your camera phone as a picture message directly to your Kodak account and order prints when you next log in to the website.
Pros: Good quality enlargements, excellent quality 6x4 prints
Cons: Slightly more expensive than our other Best Buy

Hi well I have used quite a few different on-line printers, but I have found that Photobox is my favorite for speed and quality. They print really good colors that match my monitor and also produce good monochrome images.

I too use photobox 90% of the time now. I used to use a local printer but he has now moved away and photobox are far quicker and cheaper than the next local guy.
The other thing about photobox is that if you have any qualms about quality or colour, then they will reprint the images immediately and post them asap. Always get the ICC profile from the printer you end up using so at least you know that what you see on screen is what you get.

Bazz,

A lot of serious togs around about my area use Keynsham Photographic. Their Fuji Frontier Printing is excellent and very cheap at larger sizes. They will give you 8 8x6 prints (IIRC) as a trial for free. If you monitor is not calibrated then look at downloading their Frontier profiles for your workflow to get spot -on results 'monitor to print'

IIRC it's a 48hr turn around but if you have a prob or a rush job then they are only in Keynsham

Thanks for replies, I am wiating for the Bonusprint ones to come through, no doubt the bank holiday will affect the delivery, only reservation i have so far is that my phots were 4.5Mb and during the upload they were only 670Kb so fingers crossed.

Worst con i have found so far is Jessops, get your photos delivered for an extra £2.99 in 2 days or you can pick them up in store for free, sounds great but for some reason they take 7 days to be delivered to your local store?

Well most of my prints are done at 12in x 8in, I do a lot of 12in x 18in for competitions and A2 size prints for home.

I have used a number of firms, but I will say quality over price each time.
Once ordered from PhotoBox and although cheap, it was very poor quality and have to bin the prints.
I use a number of pro labs. Loxley Colour being my favourite and they offer loads of different products.
For a cheap but good alternative use Boots.
