Hi Paul
I wish I did have my own studio but was lucky that day to have access to a large room with little or no furniture in and I could also block out the light too.
I had 2 Elinchrom 400BX lights, one to camera right at about 45 deg and one almost diagonally opposite fitted with a snoot for the hair light. I used a lightmeter and had my camera on manual the speed was set to 1/125 sec and aperture f/8. I measured for each light individually so the hair light was half a stop over exposed and the front light moved and adjusted to give me f/8.
Charlotte was sat in front of a black background about 2 feet behind her.
Hope that helps.
Rog
