yeah the lighting was extremely poor - getting close to 4pm - I suppose with regards to cutting the sky out is each to their own really - I ummd and rrrrd about it tried cropping it more etc... but in the end decided to leave the surfer in as it was how the shot was taken and left the sky as you can really see the chop against it, so that was my purpose to draw attention to it
