Hi Folks

Just my thoughts on Redbubble after several months use; lots of nice people who are very interested in your photos and make kind comments. Seems to sell T shirts over photos and the sheer number of images being uploaded everyday make it difficult for the public to buy because there is just so much choice. Also, if people get directed to Redbubble by a lead from your photography the public just get lost in the millions of photos there and you lose any potential sale.

I have just finished building my own site to act as a gallery which is now being ranked on Google and has online PayPal capability. Its still in its infancy but I wanted a site that could at least be found by search engines, offer a slide presentation and incorporate a card payment system - where the photographer got all the profit!

I am considering allowing other photographers use of my site with their own gallery for a fee, but this is just an idea at the moment.

I like Redbubble and the community feel, but sales are either pot luck or it seems to me very very slow. I know I need to become a better photographer and I am doing my best hopefully improving bit by bit. Cheers Will
