Hi Denny,
you have the memory of an elephant. This is my final version, slightly altered in format. I was going to go for the long thin version, but found that this was going to be around 20 cm hich x 83cm wide. This was impractical for framing (off the shelf) so with a little jiggery-pokery I decided on this layout.

Great Idea mate. Bet she is chuffed. What a great thing to show the child when he/she is old enough to appreciate it.
I have seen and done simailar in the past, the problem is catching a willing model at the right time. The mother/model is very happy with the result, however what depresses me more is the fact that she is even more pleased with 'A mothers arms' which was a spur of the moment shot on the final shoot and took only 3 - 4 hours to produce rather than one which took 9 months of planning. Don't figure!
