Thanks for the advice Barry. Yes this was the first attempt and I didn't think it was too bad. I did read up on your tutorial first which helped no end and I also found another on the net which gave some good advice. I don't know if the softness in the trees is due to windblow or the different focal length needed for the IR filter (Heliopan 715). I'll keep practising anyway! Thanks for the encouragement!
