Cheers for the comments everone, great to have a pat on the back every now and then!!! i really am my own worst critique so getting feedback from others all helps with the learning process....
Talking of learning process i have sussed out my problem with printing the 8x10 but unfortunately because of the crop iv'e done it stretches sideways when i try to stick it in an A4 file.
So have had to make a frame 8x10 size my rectangular image (LOL) and move it into it then place this in an A4 document, printed and trimmed the photo to a 8x10 (but now with a border, BUGGER!!!)
It really got my goat trying to suss this out yesterday but now iv'e learnt my lesson.
1/ Set the constraints of the initial crop to the bloody size you want print the picture.
2/
DO NOT delete your original image once you've come up with a new edit.
3/ Keep in mind when framing shots in your shoot the size of prints you will be making later.
A costly but invaluable lesson....
PS: Sorry for the lenghty reply, but have posted this little essay in the hope it may help others to not make the same mistake as me....
