Have to agree with TCO. This is a great composition, really good colours and light, and does have a sense of power. I'd love to see the original RAW for some of these images - just to appreciate how different they are from the shot taken. Is that possible? I like the idea of a weirdo zone - plenty of them on this site. Can we get one set up?
PS This guy (Greg Warren) has a similar style to you, Paul. You might want to take a look - they are very good.
