For what its worth I think that if you are going to spend good money on a camera, spend a bit extra on some peace of mind. The other posters are correct in saying that there is a lot of non European warranty covered stuff on ebay. To get the best deal check the price via pricerunner or kelkoo and try and use a credit card with cashback. I recently bought a dslr from ebuyer. Ordered it at about 6pm one day and it arrived at 3pm the next. The price quoted included next day delivery so I knew what I was in for. Good luck
