Default Canon 400D Focussing Screen

I'm sorry if this is against the rules, but I have to pass the word on about the great service I've received.

I'd been using a blower with a brush attachment to keep dust down between lens changes (stupid I know - I'll be just using a blower from now on) and a hair had lodged on the focussing screen.

I tried blowing it off, and failed to move it so I decided to wipe it off with a sterile cotton bud with a drop of lens cleaner.

Big mistake - these things are very delicate and within seconds I had scratched the focussing screen badly.

Much searching round the net was only yielding cheap parts that didn't look like they had the AF point markings on for a variety of prices. There were some very expensive solutions ~$100 as well.

I eventually stumbled on a phone number in Stoke.

£11.75 delivered (cheaper than the ebay stuff) next day and I now have a non scratched focussing screen with all the AF points working. Marvellous service from:

Thanks, you are heros.

Regards,
Steve
