I worry that any system that limits people could have an overall negative effect on the traffic to the site, so we must be careful not to kill the site off in the process.
Perhaps you should limit the number of posts to the gallery to 1 per member per day. Then how about a rating system that allows you to "DIG" or similar the comments made by others and these points would increase your daily posting allowance.
100+ - An extra post per day
500+ - 2 post per day
etc.
This would encourage the use of advice while allowing the others with less confidence still to make active use of the site.
Just an idea?

Thanks for the feedback Steve and a good idea. If we go with the proposal it will be done with members with less confidence in mind and make things extremely easy for them to leave feedback.
One of the things I had in mind is maybe something like a standard template, really easy stuff so members can fill in the gaps. I want to help members get the best out of their photography and I know that members who currently don't leave feedback, when they do and start to get into that mindset they will learn so much.
Again, good idea and something for me to think about while collecting all feedback especially before making any decisions.
There is still a lot to think about
