Thanks all for your comments. I am on the right track then. Funnily enough I did not put my hide in place with a view to taking these wee birds. Woodcock are the quarry!I got so fed up with someone banging away that you "really need a 500f4 +2xconvertor to get decent shots of small birds" I just had to have a go to see how I got on.One problem when you are this close (between 5& 6feet) is shutter noise. They seem to get used to it after a while. Anyway enough of me ranting on. Thanks again folks.
