had paintshop pro latest version but as so many magazines e.t.c dont seem to support it switched to latest version of photoshop elements 6 (i cant justify full photoshop as a hobby photographer) but you can various add-ins for elements to add curves capability and masking e.t.c but i find it is very good anyway. It comes in this version with full catalogue capability and smart tags, also can do panoramas as well
If you shoot raw Lightroom has a very good reputation but you cant clone and stuff with it. its just a very powerful cataloguing and for adjustments to raw files. it is good for printing and web as well but tends not to be too flexible with jpegs. also its about £200 a lot if you want more flexibility. it is great for batch processing of files.
Hope this helps.
