Montezuma Castle ,Old Indian Dwelling , high above the Verde River Valley, North Central Arizona.
This was built about 1000 years ago, and later the entire area was abandoned by the people. Nobody knows why, but scientists speculate it was a long drought.
There are many ruins, some well preserved, some just a pile of rubble.
