Wow your right the 50mm prime for the nikon is very expensive. I got a canon one so much cheaper of ebay only paid about £45 for it.

Found this one though.

Nikon AF 50mm f1.8 PRIME lens fantastic on digital on eBay, also, For Digital SLR, Camera Lenses, Photography (end time 08-Mar-08 19:03:05 GMT)
